Aveva E3D – Draw Administration is a specialized role within the AVEVA Everything3D (E3D) ecosystem, focusing on configuring and managing the 2D drawing environment. This role ensures that the drawing tools and templates align with company standards, facilitating efficient and consistent creation of engineering drawings from 3D models.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- System Configuration: Set up system defaults, including library pointers, drawing scales, and symbol templates, to standardize the drawing environment.
- Library Management: Create and maintain various libraries such as drawing templates, area definitions, classifications, key plans, symbols, labelling, and tasks to support drawing production.
- Template Creation: Develop and manage text, symbol, and ISODRAFT symbol templates to ensure consistency in drawing annotations and representations.
- Automatic Drawing Production Configuration: Configure and customize automatic drawing production settings to streamline the generation of drawings from 3D models.
- sometric Drawing Setup: Set up and customize isometric drawing production, including symbol creation and configuration of drawing sheets.
- Access Control: Manage administrative access rights, ensuring that only authorized users can modify drawing settings and templates.
🎓 Training and Prerequisites
Training for the Draw Administrator role typically spans two days and covers:
- Creating and editing backing sheets and templates.
- Developing symbols, labels, and tags.
- Establishing representation and hatching rules.
- Configuring visual layers, styles, and view section indicators
- Setting up system defaults for drawing production.
Prerequisites include familiarity with E3D 2.1 software or completion of the “AVEVA E3D User Model” and “AVEVA E3D User Draw” training sessions. Completion of “Aveva E3D – Admin Project” training is also recommended.
